SUN:RISE Central is a service user network meeting. Any Sheffield Health and Social Care Trust (SHSC) mental health service user is welcome to attend SUN:RISE.
It is designed to help give mental health service users a voice and to provide an opportunity for them to become involved in shaping how SHSC develops. It also provides an opportunity for service users to meet up and get to know each other. As well as this meeting there are 2 additional monthly meetings, one for North Sheffield and one for South Sheffield. The local North/South meetings are similar to the central one but they tend to focus a bit more (but not exclusively) on local (North/South Sheffield) SHSC issues.
SUN:RISE reports to the quarterly Inpatient Forum and to the Inpatient and Communities Directorates.
Central SUN:RISE meets on the second Wednesday of each month 1.30 – 3.30pm (although new members are welcome to arrive at 1pm for an informal introductory session).
Please note: events may not be running on bank holidays and over the Christmas period. Please double check with the organiser (before attending) if you are unsure.
