    I Need Support

We all need support sometimes, and this website is here to help.

If you need mental health support:

If you need support for something that isn’t specific to mental health:

    • Search through the information page, where you can read more about specific topics like debt, caring responsibilities and stress.
    • We’ve also got information on wellbeing, to help you think about the small changes you can make to your life that could make a big difference.
    • If it’s to do with your physical health, it’s always worth heading over to NHS Choices.

Sometimes it helps just being around people who can relate to what you’re going through. We’ve got a big list of mental health friendly activities in Sheffield.

We’ve tried to make the site easy to search and use. For example, if you’re looking for online support, you can tick ‘online’ in the filter on the support section.

If you’d just like to know more about a condition, have a look at our information pages.

If you aren’t sure what you need, do feel free to get in touch,  or have a look at our FAQs.

    I’m Supporting Someone Else

Support is often about signposting people to the right places:

    • One of the first places  you should look is our support section,  where you can find out about services, organisations and online resources to help people who are struggling in Sheffield and beyond.
    • If the person you’re supporting has been diagnosed and wants to know more about this, you can find detailed information on the information page.
    • In the same section there’s information on topics (which includes a variety of things like alcoholism, caring responsibilities and stress).
    • There’s also information on activities in Sheffield which are mental health friendly.

If you’re supporting someone who you think may be experiencing crisis, please visit our urgent help section.

Supporting other people can take its toll, so don’t forget there’s help out there for you too. Have a look in the support section and use the filters to select ‘Carer’ and find relevant information for you.

If you aren’t sure what you need, do feel free to get in touch,  or have a look at our FAQs.
