Epilepsy Action for Sheffield (local group)

Epilepsy Action provides a local contact point in Sheffield.

Monthly Meeting: a friendly group providing the opportunity to meet others affected by epilepsy and find mutual support. The group is open to anyone living with epilepsy, their families and carers.

  • Sheffield branch meets on the second Thursday of the month, 7.15pm – 8.45pm at the Central United Reform Church (Norfolk Street Sheffield, S1 2JB)
  • The group is run by Duncan who can be contacted on Tel: 0114 235 2197 or E: sheffield.epilepsyaction@gmail.com
  • The event is free but they suggest a donation of £2.
  • They encourage people to register through the links from the web page. There is no need to book and guests and new members are always welcome. However, in the unlikely event that the room is full priority will be given to those who have already registered.

If you are unable to make this time, you could join one of Epilepsy Action’s general virtual groups.

There is also a programme of monthly small informal Coffee and Chat session where people affected by epilepsy can meet, find mutual support and basic advice about epilepsy. Open to all people affected by or interested in epilepsy. These take place on the second Saturday of each month, 10am to 11am at 1554 Coffee (www.1554.co.uk), inside Sheffield Cathedral (Church Street Sheffield S1 1HA).  This event is free, but they suggest you do buy something from the coffee shop.  There is no need to book for this, but it helps if you let them know if you are coming.
