Project 6 Sheffield (formally Sheffield Alcohol Support Service (SASS))is a local charity which provides opportunities and choices for individuals, families and communities to create meaningful and sustainable change in their wellbeing.
Their Alcohol Recovery Community (ARC) offers hope, choice and opportunities for adults in or aiming for recovery (making changes to their alcohol/ substance use). ARC run a timetable of groups 6 days a week with the help of volunteers who have lived experience and are in recovery from dependency. The ARC understands recovery as more of a life change that encompasses self worth, confidence, meaningful, healthy relationships with yourself and others and wellbeing.
ARC accepts self-referrals as well as from professionals. They also provide advice and support to people concerned by someone else’s drinking. Individuals can refer to ARC through the website or by calling 0114 258 7553.
