About us

We, (Sheffield Flourish) built the Sheffield Mental Health Guide to help local people find information about support and mental health-friendly activities in our city. Sheffield Flourish started delivering the Sheffield Mental Health Guide website in 2017 and it is funded by Sheffield City Council. Since then, it has undergone numerous changes based on coproduction and feedback.

We are pleased to announce that since September 2023, the website has been re-launched as an all-age mental health guide. Previously the website was commissioned for just adults. This is a much-needed resource, and we hope it makes a huge difference to Sheffield.

For the latest relaunch in 2023, we carried out interviews and co-design sessions thanks to Chilypep and our website developers, Hive IT. These sessions included children and younger people, people who work with children and younger people, parents, carers, and people with lived experience of mental health. It has been a collaborative process and we thank everyone involved. It will continue to be developed, and we value any feedback.

When you get in touch with us, you’re likely to reach one of our lovely Information Coordinators who work on the guide. You can see our staff over on the Sheffield Flourish website.
