Older Adults Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) offer assessment, treatment and ongoing support for people over the age of 65 with long term or severe and enduring mental health difficulties.

Their service supports people over 65 who have a functional mental health problem, people under 65 with established diagnosed dementia and people over 65 who have memory problems. They also support people who have substantial and complex mental health needs that cannot be met through primary care or the Sheffield Talking Therapies service (formerly IAPT).

Referral is made through the patient’s GP or specialist services within the Trust.
