It’s as important to look after your mental wellbeing as your physical health, to make sure you’re feeling okay and coping with the day-to-day. We all have ‘mental health’, whether we have a diagnosis or not, and there are different ways we can stay mentally well. Alongside accessing support from services, organisations and therapists, you can improve your wellbeing by:
- Connecting with others
- Get busy and active
- Take notice and relax
- Give and share
- Learn something new
There’s also a lot of things which can impact mental health which are part of our day to day lives, like stress, caring responsibilities and debt, and it’s worth reading our information on these things.
Your wellbeing can also be affected negatively, by things like aches and pains, or by smoking. Check out NHS Choices for help with your physical health, or with quitting smoking.
