Run Talk Run exists to make both movement and mental health less intimidating, and more accessible. Their mission is to increase accessibility to mental health support through running & walking support groups. They run free, weekly 5km jogs around Sheffield.
Run Talk Run currently have two groups that meet on a Wednesday evening and most Sunday mornings.
The Wednesday run meets at 7.30pm at varying locations across Sheffield including Endcliffe Park, Graves Park, Millhouses Park, Hillsborough Park and occasionally in the city centre. All abilities are welcome, they walk if they need to and nobody gets left behind. They are a mental health group first and running comes second. There is no coaching and certainly no judgement from anyone who attends.
You can find a list of all the different Run Talk Run events across Sheffield and South Yorkshire by registering on the Heylo website (app.heylo.co). They also have a free to download app on iOS and Android devices, also called Heylo.
If you would like more information or to know a bit more about the group, Run Talk Run Sheffield can be contacted on Facebook or Instagram, or you can contact the regional leader for South Yorkshire by emailing northeast@runtalkrun.com
