Add to My Toolkit

The Springboard is a group for people who are feeling low, isolated, anxious or struggling to manage their mental well being. It runs in various locations around Sheffield (except on bank holidays). Springboard Central takes place in Sharrow.

The Springboard offers:

  • a warm friendly atmosphere
  • trained volunteers available to offer support, advice and information
  • encouragement and support to try new things
  • the opportunity to make friends
  • the chance to talk to people who have lived experience of mental health issues

Please note: events may not be running on bank holidays and over the Christmas period. Please double check with the organiser before attending if you are unsure.

In-person sessions

In-person Central Springboard sessions take place at the Sheffield Mind Wellbeing Centre on Sharrow Lane. They are regular weekly 90 minute sessions starting from Wednesday 8th September at 1pm. Due to Covid-19 Sheffield Mind are strictly limiting attendance to four (plus two group facilitators) and are booking attendees in blocks of six sessions.

Booking is essential, so if you’d like to attend the first block of in-person sessions, please contact the project Coordinator, Teresa Ravenshaw at teresa.ravenshaw@sheffieldmind.co.uk. Anyone who doesn’t make it on to block 1 will be invited to a future block.

Sheffield Mind strongly advise that everyone attending is fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and wears a mask inside the venue (unless medically exempt.)

Online sessions

Springboard Central’s Zoom sessions continue on Wednesdays, but at the later time of 3pm. Invitations will be sent out a day or two before. To receive invitations for these, again, e-mail teresa.ravensahw@sheffieldmind.co.uk
