Anxiety UK is a user-led organisation working to support those living with anxiety. They provide information, resources, support and understanding through a wide range of services, including:

  • Therapy
  • Online anxiety management courses
  • Online art groups
  • Resources and guides
  • Online message boards

Please be aware that there is a cost attached to some of their services.

Anxiety UK can provide support and help if you have been diagnosed with, or suspect you may have, an anxiety disorder or phobias. This includes (but is not limited to), body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and panic attacks. They also work with external agencies and healthcare professionals to improve services for those living with anxiety as well as campaigning to raise awareness of these conditions.

They have an annual membership scheme which gives a member access to reduced cost therapy, subscription to Anxious Times magazine and access to the member’s area and free online resources.

Helpline

Anxiety UK run a free helpline open to non-members as well as members. They offer support, advice and information on all anxiety, stress and anxiety-based depression conditions. Their helpline services are open to anyone of any age, with an interpretation service available to those who require it:

  • Call 03444 775 774 (Mon – Fri 10.30am-4.30pm (except bank holidays))
  • Text them on 07537 416 905 (respond within 1 working day)
  • Chat service ‘Ask Anxia’ is available 24/7 via the bottom right corner of every page of Anxiety UK website.
