One of BAATN’s primary goals is to address the inequality of access to appropriate psychological services for Black, African, South Asian and Caribbean people. BAATN seek to influence the black empathetic approach in all their work and provide training to recognise racism and undoing the impact of racism in the therapeutic practitioner community as well as the wider public.

They provide an online directory for Black, African, South Asian, and Caribbean therapists, alongside information on how therapy works.

BAATN also offer Practitioner Spaces which are healing and learning spaces for therapists and others in the helping professions. Some of these events are specifically for those who are of Black, African, South Asian, or Caribbean heritage, while others are open to therapists of all heritages. They also run BAATN Community Spaces which are open to the public.
