The British Tinnitus Association (BTA) is an independent charity that support people who experience tinnitus. They are the primary source of support and information for people with Tinnitus in the UK. They aim to encourage prevention through our educational programme to seek effective treatment for tinnitus through a medical research programme.

BTA offer support, an online shop to help manage tinnitus, research and an online chat and helpline facility. The helpline (0800 018 0527) is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. They also have an online forum which can be found here.

In Sheffield, there is also a Tinnitus Support Group that meets at the Hallamshire Hospital Medical School.  At present this group is running online. For more information about the group, click here, or call 0114 226 1314.
