HOPE is a local charity for people who have suffered a bereavement through a fire, road traffic collision or drowning. They act as a peer support group for anyone who has been bereaved in this way or has witnessed a traumatic incident, no matter your age or when the experience of trauma occurred.

Should you wish to access the peer support group please call them on 0114 227 0105 or send them an e-mail to: info@hope-sy.org.uk where they will respond to you within 24-48 hours. HOPE will also be able to tell you where the nearest peer support group meeting is. Meetings take place between 6.30pm – 8.30 pm on the second Wednesday of each month. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be always be available and all are welcome to attend.

Alongside this, HOPE works in partnership with professional agencies, community or voluntary networks and other organisations throughout the local area. They also provide information through talks and attendances at conferences and training events, which aim to address the emotional trauma suffered by the deceased’s loved ones.
