OCD Action is a national charity that provides support and information to anybody who is affected by OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). They work towards getting OCD as a condition better understood, making sure appropriate treatment options are open and accessible to all who require them and ensuring that nobody feels ashamed to ask for help.
OCD Action provide a helpline from 9.30am-8pm Monday to Friday which is a confidential and unbiased service offering help, information and support for people with OCD, their carers, or concerned friends or family. OCD Action also run an advocacy service for people affected by OCD and have supported people to access treatment, secure housing and help with staying in employment.

For those under 18, OCD action have also created a youth website. This is designed for young people, their parents, teachers or other adults who support them. On the website you can download information, access resources, join online forums, and meet other young people with OCD.
Local OCD Support Group
In Sheffield, the OCD support group meets monthly on Monday.
Venue: The Garden Room, Sheffield Mencap and Gateway, Norfolk Lodge, Park Grange Road, Sheffield S2 3QF
Time: 7.00 – 9.00pm
The group is for people with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), Hoarding issues, Trichotillomania and Dermatillomania, and are over 16.
