The Samaritans are a national charity aiming to reduce feelings of isolation and disconnection that can lead to suicide.
They provide a helpline available 24-hours a day, 365 days a year to provide emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those who are experiencing suicidal thoughts or urges. They are open to anyone regardless of who you are or what you are experiencing. You can call 116 123 (free from any phone) or 0330 094 5717 (local call charges apply) to speak with them.
You can also write an email to the Samaritans if you prefer to write things down. Please note that it may take several days to receive a reply by email. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
03/05/23: Unfortunately they are currently unable to offer their face to face service at the Sheffield branch.
