The Stroke Association supports those who have suffered strokes to make the best recovery they can as well as long term support to stroke survivors, carers and their families.

The Stroke Association run a helpline 6 days a week T: 0303 303 3100. If the helpline is closed you can email helpline@stroke.org.uk or use the Stroke Association out of hours contacts.

If you think that you or someone you know is having a stroke, always use the FAST test and call 999 immediately.

As well as providing information, resources and advice on their website, the Stroke Association provides three support services in Sheffield:

Provides stroke survivors, carers and their families with individual counselling sessions and emotional support helping people to come to terms with what has happened. For more information contact Charlotte Gutu.
