Firvale Community Hub (formerly Pakistan Advice and Community Association – PACA) is a well-established and award winning community hub based in the heart of the Firvale area. They run a number of different projects for community benefit, and mental health is one of their key service areas.

Mental Health

Firvale Community Hub (FCH) provide several groups for individuals suffering from mild to moderate mental health conditions. Once a referral is received it is assessed to see which group or intervention will be best suited to the needs of the individual.

They work in partnership with the Primary Care Network to run a project called Myself My Community which works with men from all backgrounds and cultures. They also run a suicide prevention and awareness campaign through this service. This group currently meets once a week.

FCH also run a social café for users with mild and moderate mental health issues. This group meets once a month at the centre. They also encourage anyone using their service who has mental health issues to access their health and fitness sessions.

They also run the Pathways to Success project, which works with individuals with mental health issues and helps them access training and help them find employment.

FCH have a strong focus on promoting inclusivity and encouraging referrals from BAME communities including Roma and South Asian.
