Safe Space is a project to help 16 and 17 year olds who are struggling to manage their mental health. The project is run by Roundabout.

They offer a Safe Space for one young person to spend up to three days focusing on their wellbeing in a calm, supportive and non-judgemental environment. It is intended for people who are experiencing mental health crisis and are unable to manage this in their usual home environment.

You will be the only young person in the house for the time of your stay. You will be supported by their team of friendly, experienced staff who are there to provide a safe environment.

The location is a three bedroom house in Sheffield which includes a lovely green garden, relaxing sensory room, as well spacious living areas. As well as having many activities to choose from, such as painting to meditation, the team also support young people to work towards their mental and emotional wellbeing.

You can be referred to Safe Space by any professional, including CAMHS, Social services, A&E, youth workers and doctors. Speak with your worker, or phone safe Space on 0114 258 5579, to enquire about a referral.
